In the week since Mac Miller鈥檚 death at age 26, fans and friends alike have flooded social media with tributes to the rapper and everything he meant to them. Today, September 14, Ariana Grande joined them, taking to Instagram to share her heartbreak over Miller鈥檚 passing.

鈥渋 adored you from the day i met you when i was nineteen and i always will,鈥 the 鈥淪weetener鈥 singer captioned a video of the late musician, whom she dated for two years. 鈥渋 can鈥檛 believe you aren鈥檛 here anymore. i really can鈥檛 wrap my head around it.鈥

In the short clip, Miller is seen talking to Grande when he realizes she鈥檚 filming him. 鈥淏aby, stop!鈥 he says, laughing and reaching out to cover the camera with his hand. Grande can be heard laughing along with him and saying, 鈥淚t makes me happy,鈥 as he hides his face in his sweatshirt.

鈥渨e talked about this. so many times,鈥 she wrote in her caption. 鈥渋鈥檓 so mad, i鈥檓 so sad i don鈥檛 know what to do. you were my dearest friend. for so long. above anything else. i鈥檓 so sorry i couldn鈥檛 fix or take your pain away. i really wanted to. the kindest, sweetest soul with demons he never deserved. i hope you鈥檙e okay now. rest.鈥

Grande previously shared a black-and-white photo of Miller, sans caption, on September 8, one day after his death.

Miller, who spoke openly about his battle with addiction, died Friday, September 7, of what was reported to be an apparent overdose. An official cause of death is still pending.
