Spike Your Sweets: Salted Caramel Bourbon Milkshake
It’s the Friday before a long weekend for many of us, and we could all use a little somethin’ to take the edge off. Hopefully you made it through Valentine’s Day without any broken hearts, so let’s celebrate with a good ‘ol milkshake. A spiked, extra boozy Bourbon Salted Caramel Chocolate milkshake, that is! We may have used a little too much bourbon with this one… if such a thing exists ;)
– 3 cups vanilla ice cream
– ⅔ cup adult chocolate milk
– ½ cup caramel syrup, plus more for drizzling
– 1 tsp sea salt
– 3 oz bourbon
Microwave the caramel syrup in a bowl for a minute, at half power. Then, stir in the sea salt until it melts into the caramel. If you feel like it’s not melting, pop it in the microwave in 30 second intervals until it’s thoroughly mixed in.
Next, we’ll make the shake. In a blender, toss in the ice cream, adult chocolate milk, bourbon, caramel and blend!
When there are no more ice cream chunks, you’re done! Easy peasy.
