Small tattoos, big tattoos, and everything in between — we’re here for it. In this series, we chat with budding and well-established tattoo artists about body art from around the world.
anime-inspired tattoo style is whimsical, spooky, and precious all at once. The North Carolina-based artist brings pink-cheeked cartoons to life with delicate line work and intricate scenery on her addictive Instagram feed. "I feel that I've been exposed to the world of cute things for so long that it's a part of my identity," she says.
The inspiration behind Parworth's signature style comes from her Korean heritage and discoveries in her daily life. "I used to live in Japan as a kid and grew up with a Korean mother," says Parworth. It was on a trip to Korea with her mom when she first experienced the curious world of anime ink. To check out her work for yourself, click through the slides.

Parworth is based in Canton, North Carolina with a second tattoo space opening in Atlanta later this year. The shop will host rap shows (her partner is a rap producer) and bring a taste of Parworth's skill to a new city. In the meantime, keep tabs on her social media feed for guest spots around the country.
Parworth brings her scenes to life in record time. She can ink as many as 10 smaller tattoos in a day, which is why she charges by the piece rather than by the hour. For a custom tat you can send along placement, size, and reference images to get a more precise price estimate.
