3 Ways to Make Chic No-Carve Pumpkins
When it comes to Halloween, there are three things we heart: costumes, pumpkins and treats. Just last week, we teamed up with Michaels to host dozens of friends, makers and local influencers here at Brit HQ for an event dedicated to two out of these three things. From decoupage pumpkins to painted pumpkins with lots of treats and sweets on the side, our Pumpkin Decorating party was a smash. But don’t worry — no pumpkins were actually smashed ;)
Since not everyone was able to make it, we’re bringing three of our favorite no-carve projects to all of you! Follow along to learn how to make your own chic trio of patterned, dipped and color blocked pumpkins.
– gold glitter
Our secret pumpkin weapon? Craft Pumpkins! Forget dealing with messy (potentially moldy) real pumpkins. This year, go for the faux option and you can save ’em for next year.
We used a range of basic materials, from an epic gold leafing pen to colorful paper and glitter.
The steps for this as a simple as they look. Simply draw lines along each ridge of your pumpkin. We switched between diagonal and horizontal to create a herringbone-inspired look. For a large pumpkin, you’ll probably go through two pens.

How chic is that?
Next up, we wanted to create a confetti-topped pumpkin but without all that confetti mess. Choose a few colors of card stock. Cut paper into strips and then triangles. We didn’t use a stencil or anything for this — simply angle your scissors and freestyle your triangles. Use Mod Podge to glue them on to your pumpkin.
Voila! So quick, easy and modern.
Lastly, go for the gold. Gold glitter, that is ;) Use painter’s tape to section off the bottom of your pumpkin. Then use a stenciling sponge to paint a layer of Mod Podge on the bottom of your pumpkin. Sprinkle glitter on and let dry.
If you don’t get enough coverage with one round of glue and glitter, do a second one. Then seal the whole thing off with one additional coat of Mod Podge.
Peel off the tape to reveal your glitzy masterpiece.
There you have it — three chic no-carve pumpkins!

Don’t forget the Skeleton Sangria!! :)
