What is 'Imperfect Women' about?
It's outlined as, "an unconventional psychological thriller examining a crime that shatters the lives of a decades-long friendship of three women,” according to official description of the series. “Imperfect Women is a mystery complicated by perspective that explores guilt and retribution, love and betrayal, and the compromises we make that alter our lives irrevocably," the synopsis adds. "As the investigation unravels, so does the truth about how even the closest relationships can change over time.”
Who is in the 'Imperfect Women' cast?
Other than leads Moss, Mara, and Washington, the limited Apple TV+ series also stars big names like Leslie Odom Jr. (Hamilton), Corey Stoll (Antman), Wilson Bethel (Hart of Dixie, How to Get Away with Murder), and Joel Kinnaman (For All Mankind), among others.

Yes, the Apple TV+ limited series is based on the 2020 book of the same name by author Araminta Hall. It is adapted for TV by Annie Weisman. “I couldn’t be happier that my book has found a home at Apple, home of some of my favorite programs,” said Hall to The Hollywood Reporter in March 2024. Hall continues by saying, “And to be working with Elisabeth (Moss) and Lindsey (McManus) is a dream. They have an incredible talent for storytelling and immediately understood my book in exactly the way I meant it to be read. And then to have Kerry Washington on board is like a bonus on top of a bonus. My book couldn’t be in better hands.” Lindsey McManus is the executive producer for the TV series, as well as Weisman, Moss through her production company Love & Squalor Pictures, and Washington through her production company Simpson Street.
