New Balance Is Releasing Swarovski Crystal-Studded Sneakers
Calling all sneakerheads! If you love sparkly things, you better sit down for this news. In honor of their iconic NB1 574 (which first came out over 30 years ago), New Balance just unveiled a brand new limited-edition collection of the classic silhouette, and they’re decked out in Swarovski bling.
The shoes will come in with the standard suede and perforated vamp, collar, and tongue, but the familiar “N” will be studded with teeny tiny, light-refracting crystals. The crystals will come in two colorways: Platinum, a silvery gray, and Gunmetal, a darker-toned near-black. As for the shoes, there are 12 different options, including gray-hues. And for an extra pretty touch, the footwear is strung with matching ribbon laces and comes with a silver lace keeper, shoe bag, and bespoke box.
“Why all the gray?” you might be asking. According to the athletic brand, it’s no coincidence. Rather, the launch will “coincide with New Balance Grey Day, a celebration of the 574 silhouette and the New Balance grey colorway, which is synonymous with the brand.” But you better hurry, as this collection is sure to sell out.
