Why You Should Post a Red Heart to Social Media Today
In honor of Suicide Prevention Month in September, Dr. Brandt Skincare is dedicated to spreading the support while raising awareness — and wants you to help out. The best part is you only need a photo of a red heart.

“A #sayiloveyou to a friend in need can make all the difference,” the brand wrote on Instagram. For every photo of a red heart posted with Dr. Brandt tagged, they will donate $1 to American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and the Trevor Project, starting today, Sept. 14, and lasting through the rest of September.
The skincare brand is also launching the #SAYILOVEYOU Kit ($38), from which a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Dr. Brandt Foundation. The issue is a personal one for the company, as the foundation was formed after Dr. Frederic Brandt took his own life in 2015 and aims to raise awareness about suicide and depression.
The kit includes smaller sizes of the Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion (typically $79), an exfoliator, Pores No More Pore Refiner Primer ($45), Pores No More Luminizer Primer ($38), a tote bag bearing a #SayILoveYou heart, and a red heart temporary tattoo. Once you get your kit, make sure to slap on that tatt and post to Instagram to donate that extra dollar!
If you or a loved one needs help, please call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255 or chat with a specialist on the Lifeline website. You are not alone.
