Will There Be A 'Sirens' Season 2? Here's What We Know!

Netflix

It seems like shows about power and class are all the rage these days. With The White Lotus exceeding expectations with season 3, there’s another series following closely in its footsteps. Sirens premiered on Netflix in late May and has already received glowing reviews, including a 77% score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Created by Molly Smith Metzler and based on her 2011 play Elemeno Pea, Sirens is a dark comedy-thriller that unfolds over one charged Labor Day weekend at a posh seaside estate. A sharp satire of the ultra-rich, the series weaves in psychological drama while exploring themes of sisterhood, privilege, emotional manipulation, and identity. Think The White Lotus meets Succession—but more intimate and deeply female-focused.

With only five episodes, the series wastes no time diving into tension, secrets, and shifting power dynamics. It’s a slow burn, but every scene is loaded with meaning—perfect for fans of character-driven storytelling with a sinister edge...and exactly why we need Sirens season 2. Here's what we know about the possibility so far!

Sirens ends on a cliffhanger, leaving fans hungry for more. Although it was originally billed as a limited series, creator Molly Smith Metzler has hinted that the story might not be over just yet.

“I just love this question because to me, it means that people love the characters, and that’s the ultimate compliment,” Metzler said in a recent interview with Glamour.

“These characters are real people to me… I could write them until the day I die. I’d never say never, but could I do them justice in another season? I’d have to think about it.”

While there’s no official confirmation yet, the show's critical success and buzz could help push it in the right direction. If Metzler decides there's more to explore with these characters—and audiences keep asking for it—a second season isn’t completely off the table. For now, fans will just have to hold onto hope and keep rewatching those final scenes for clues.

What will 'Sirens' season 2 be about?

Since we don't have an official confirmation of Sirens season 2, it's unclear what the follow-up season would be about. If we had to guess, I'd think the story would follow Simone and Peter's relationship, the aftermath of Michaela's divorce, and Devon's ultimate decision when it comes to being her dad's caretaker.

Would the three re-unite? Would Devon and Michaela join forces against Simone after they connected on the ferry in the season 1 finale? Will Peter do the same thing to Simone that he did to Michaela? We need answers!

Who’s would be in the 'Sirens' season 2 cast?

Milly Alcock and Julianne Moore in Sirens

Netflix

The season 1 cast is chock-full of familiar faces. Meghann Fahy (The White Lotus) stars as Devon DeWitt, a no-nonsense, working-class woman trying to rescue her younger sister from a situation she believes is toxic. That sister, Simone DeWitt, is played by House of the Dragon breakout star Milly Alcock. Simone works as a personal assistant—and emotionally entangled confidante—to the enigmatic socialite Michaela “Kiki” Kell, played by Julianne Moore (Echo Valley). Moore delivers a standout performance as a cultured, wellness-obsessed former attorney with an uncanny ability to manipulate those around her. Rounding out the cast is Kevin Bacon as Peter Kell, Michaela’s husband, whose own motives blur the lines of trust and control.

We think the season 2 cast would include these returning actors, if greenlit:

  • Meghann Fahy
  • Milly Alcock
  • Julianne Moore
  • Kevin Bacon
  • Trevor Salter
  • Bill Camp
  • Felix Solis
