Tommy Hilfiger Created the Ultimate Boho Wedding Dress for His Daughter’s Wedding
There are certain advantages to having connections to the fashion biz, particularly when it comes time for a big event, like, oh, say… your wedding day. Last week, Victoria Swarovski, the heiress to the Swarovski throne, said her “I dos” in a gown covered in half a million crystals. This weekend, Ally Hilfiger, daughter of fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger, wed her longtime love in a custom dress of her dad’s design.
The former MTV’s Rich Girls star married her partner of six years, Steve Hash (the couple also share two-year-old daughter Harley), in a lavish beach ceremony on the island of Mustique in the Caribbean.

In true Hilfiger fashion, the gown itself was a pared down, slinky silk slip dress. The American designer didn’t hold back when designing the veil, however. The hooded piece had dimensional appliqué embroidery and blue beaded floral details along the hem. It was pretty spot on for the boho gypsy look Ally was going for, as she told Hello magazine back in September. “I’m a bit of a bohemian, gypsy kind of chick,” she said.

The 31-year-old also revealed that she collaborated with her dad to get the perfect design. “He has a really good eye and [knows] what looks good on a woman — and I have a clear vision of what I want, so I think combining those will make for a beautiful dress,” she said.

The combo made for a picture-perfect moment when the bride’s new husband swept her off her feet to reveal the gown and veil in all its glory, captured by their pal and photographer, Douglas Friedman of TheFascinator.
Beautiful, indeed!
