Taylor Swift may be staying out of the public eye ATM, but if we’re to believe insiders, the “Bad Blood” singer isn’t simply twiddling her thumbs during her “time off.” In fact, according to friend Ed Sheeran, Swift is busy working away on her next (hugely anticipated) album. And, according to a Nashville source, she’s weighing the pros and cons of different potential sounds for the new release… including, the source tells ET, a return to country.
While we’re sure that plenty of Taylor Swift’s fans would love for her to return to her roots and release an all country album, there’s no denying that it’s pop music that has launched her career into the stratosphere.
With her new album expected to drop closer to the end of the year, we can’t wait to hear if she chooses country, opts for pop, or thrills us with an unexpected mix of the two. Or maybe she’ll even knock us off our butts by releasing something we never would have imagined… like a rap album, perhaps?
