This Is Blake Lively’s Lazy-Girl Hair Hack to Make Any ‘Do Fancy
Her cute captions, silly faces and gorgeous looks had everyone coming back for more, making us feel like we were right there along with her as she walked red carpet after red carpet — pregnant with Lively-Reynolds baby #2, no less.
She has a team of super talented people helping her get ready for these kinds of things, but Blake was stylist-free for many years, so we wouldn’t be surprised if many of the finishing touches were all her — like this instant upgrade from simple updo to next-level look. Blake just has a diamond brooch pinned into her hair, a look that’s easily recreated on your own: Sweep up your hair, pin it however you prefer and then add a pretty adornment in the back for some seriously romantic locks. Let’s get a closer look on the red carpet…
Gorg! Here are a few favorites that Blake would surely approve of that YOU can rock (all wedding season long, perhaps!):
1. Avigail Adam Fairy Hair Comb ($45): A pretty comb is an easy way to add some jazz to your hair; you don’t have to worry about rigging it into place and it is as functional as it is beautiful. The rose gold color makes it perfect for summer — picture sunset bouncing off of your messy bun and hair comb combo.
2. Urban Outfitters Ditsy Floral Bobby Hair Pin Set ($14): These pins are really chic the way they’re styled here by Urban Outfitters, but part of the appeal of a set like this is that you can use them to hold up your hair however you see fit. Try keeping it messy — even if only a hint of the pin sticks out, it’s still totally alluring.
3. Vintage Goods to Go Aurora Borealis Blue Rhinestones Brooch ($10): Check out Etsy (or your fave weekend flea market!) to find brooches you can turn into hair pieces — on a budget no less.
4. ASOS Barrette Bow Hair Corsage and Brooch ($10): This romantic bow and flower brooch combo is the perfect accent to your favorite wispy chiffon floral dress; it would also be really unique and fun to try it nestled into a braid.
