Disney Fans Will Rejoice at This Streaming News
Look out, Netflix — there’s some new competition in town. Disney said it’s launching a digital subscription service next month in the UK, offering everything from the Toy Story series to classics including Snow White. The DisneyLife service doesn’t include Marvel movies or Star Wars titles, but it does come with a ton of Disney Channel episodes, and even books and music to go along with its films, according to the Financial Times. Genius!
Disney will expand the service throughout Europe next year. Unfortunately, it currently has no plans to bring DisneyLife to the US because of contracts with cable and satellite companies that air its content. But Disney’s chief exec said the company hasn’t ruled it out completely for the future, FT says.
If you live in the UK, the service will cost you £9.99 a month. Here’s hoping DisneyLife comes to the US soon!
