Fans Think Kim Kardashian West’s Cryptic Instagram Post Might Be a Baby Name Clue
Fans are waiting with bated breath to find out what name Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have chosen for their newborn baby girl. Naturally, the internet has plenty of suggestions, but thanks to a new Instagram post from the KKW Beauty founder, some people think the name might be inspired by luxury fashion brand Louis Vuitton.
Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, the new mother of three posted a close-up shot of what appears to be a purse or a bag bearing the Louis Vuitton monogram. The photo has no caption, no context, and no explanation. But with the new baby girl on everyone’s mind, it’s no wonder that fans think the two are related.
Followers were quick to share their theories in the comments section. Most seem to think the post is a hint about the baby’s name and have offered up guesses including LV West, Elle V West, Elvie West, Vuitton West, and the obvious Louis West.
It’s worth noting that “the Louis Vuitton Don” is one of Kanye West’s nicknames. He has made several references to the brand in his music, including in songs such as “Stronger,” “Runaway Love,” “Gold Digger,” “Can’t Tell Me Nothing,” “The Glory,” and “Pinocchio Story.”
Of course, there’s a chance that Kardashian West’s post has nothing to do with the new arrival.
Last week, the reality star posted a photo of her trash bins, which were covered in the recognizable luxury brand logo. The new post could also be a nod to Kim Jones, the artistic director of menswear at Louis Vuitton. On Wednesday, Vogue reported that Jones will be stepping down from his position after seven years and will present his Fall 2018 runway show, his last for the company, on Thursday.
And then there’s the possibility that Kardashian West’s post is about none of these things — or all of these things. Perhaps she was honoring the departing director AND the baby is named after Louis Vuitton. Hey, you never know!
