These Tattooed Hands Are Inspiring Creatives Across Instagram
Talented artist Romo Jack is making waves — or more like awesomely styled vignettes — in the Instagram world. With his new project, #whatmyhandsdoing, this 22-year-old artist from Jakarta, Indonesia is exploring a myriad of different mediums and artistic styles through his hands. These shots are a sort of bird’s eye view of all things artsy, DIY and maker-inspired, and we can’t get enough of ’em.
With everything from tattooing to puzzling, crafting and cooking, these shots put the everyday into a new and beautiful light. By exploring mediums through his hands, Jack is creating a visual hands-on journey that anyone — artistic or not — can appreciate. “Just like how my eyes are always seeing from the time I wake up from bed to the time I fall back asleep, my hands are also doing something every second,” Jack told Instagram. “There might be thousands, even millions of things our hands have got to do.” And as avid makers, DIYers and all-around doers, we couldn’t agree more.
Jack has even inspired other artists, makers and creative thinkers to follow the #whatmyhandsdoing trend by posting their own beautiful shots. And who knows, maybe this will pave the way for other creative hashtags that are geared toward using your hands for more than just applying filters and crafting witty hashtags. (ahem, #iamcreative)
