Sarah Ferguson Thinks Princess Diana Would Have Been ‘So Proud’ of Duchesses Kate and Meghan
Before Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle married Prince William and Prince Harry, Diana Spencer and Sarah Ferguson were the new arrivals in the royal family. Tragically, Princess Di never got to meet the women who would become her daughters-in-law. But the Duchess of York thinks she would have loved both of them.
The Duchess of York says Princess Diana would have 'loved every moment' of William and Harry's weddings.

“She had this enormous compassion and I honestly think she’d be so proud of the wonderful Meghan and Catherine, as well,” Duchess Sarah said on Wednesday’s episode of Good Morning Britain, adding that Diana would “want to embrace them and say, ‘You’re doing well.'”
Asked what Diana would have thought about the princes’ weddings, Ferguson said she would have “loved every moment” of the ceremonies and been “so proud” of her sons. “Even before they got married, Diana would have been just literally going ‘I can’t believe these boys have done so well,'” she said. “They are such a credit to her, it’s incredible.”
Duchess Sarah, who was married to Prince Andrew from 1986 to 1996, has been through her share of ups and downs with the royal family, but she appears to be on good terms with them now. She was even a guest at Prince Harry’s wedding in May. “It was very kind of them,” she said about the invitation from Harry and Meghan. “I can’t thank them enough for doing that because it was nerve-wracking.”
Sarah also revealed that she got tears in her eyes when she was greeted by cheers from the crowd outside the wedding. She told Good Morning Britain, “I felt that sense of support from the crowds, which was very kind.”
