*This* Is the Celeb-Approved Holiday Gift You’ll Want to Nab for Your Squad
The holidays are just around the corner, begging the age-old question: What do we get the girls who have everything? This year, we’re not even sweating it, because we’ve got just the thing — or, shall we say, just the ring! — for every badass babe on our list.
Taking a cue from some of Hollywood’s most fashionable stars — including Nicole Kidman, Shailene Woodley, and Doutzen Kroes, to name a few — we’ve got our eyes (and our hearts!) set on Shiffon’s Duet Pinky Rings ($90 to $640).
The delicate, minimalistic designs are totally on-trend and being snatched up by celebs left and right, thanks to the amazing initiative behind them. With each pinky ring you purchase, you’re making a “pinky promise” to support other women, since 50 percent of every ring sold (plus 10 percent of the company’s other sales) will go to fund seed grants for female entrepreneurs and start-ups through Shiffon’s Start-Up Girl Foundation.
Conceived by undergrads from Harvard and Stanford, who credit their success to their own female mentors and supporters, the company is rooted in the idea of women helping other women. In fact, that’s built into the jewelry designs themselves.
Each of the three rings, available in sterling silver ($90), 14K gold ($375), and 18K gold ($640), features a large white or purple sapphire or diamond, as well as a smaller diamond, with the two stones meant as a symbolic representation of unity between women.
By purchasing the rings, you’re essentially making a pledge to empower your sisters-in-arms and “wearing the change you want to see.”
The message has certainly resonated with the cast of Big Little Lies, who are all about sisterly love. Woodley, who wore the ring to the 2017 Emmys (pictured above), told E! on the red carpet, “It’s so amazing to have a group of women who are so supportive of one another and don’t care about jealousy, aren’t competitive, have put ego and competition aside, and really are just able to show up and be present as a pillar of support — there’s nothing better than that.” Amen, sister!
The dainty jewelry has also become a favorite of The Circle actress Emma Watson, who showed off the company’s wares on her Beauty and the Beastpress tour Instagram page dedicated to fashion with purpose.
The rings are adjustable, so they’ll fit any size pinky, and they’re available for pre-order now. What are you waiting for? Your friends and fam are gonna love them — we pinky promise.
