'The Future Saints' Will Fill The 'Daisy Jones & The Six' Void On Your TBR List

The Future Saints New Book
Prime Video, Amazon

Stop everything you’re doing, because we need to talk about The Future Saints by Ashley Winstead. If you, like me, are constantly scouting for the next great rock n’ roll novel á la Taylor Jenkins Reid’s Daisy Jones & The Six, you’re going to want to keep your eye on this upcoming book, which is set to hit the bookshelves on January 20, 2026.

I don’t know about you guys, but I take my TBR list way too seriously. Like, it’s almost comedic how strict I am when it comes to narrowing down the list of books I choose to read. Since reading is a whole investment, I want to ensure that I’m spending my hours getting lost in the highest-quality page-turners possible. I need equal parts excitement and emotion, all packed into under 500 pages. And that’s exactly the kind of vibe I’m getting from Ashley Winstead’s upcoming novel, which is inspired by the author’s personal trials and tribulations when it comes to mourning the loss of a loved one.

So, what’s this soul-crushing novel about, you ask? Here's little synopsis so you know what you’re getting into with Winstead's new book, The Future Saints.

Scroll to find out everything you need to know about this highly-anticipated new book, The Future Saints by Ashley Winstead.

The story centers around Hannah, who is completely down on her luck. Her life used to be filled with so much hope and excitement, considering her worldwide success as a lead singer of the band, The Future Saints. On top of that, she’d fallen hopelessly in love with her manager, who became the one person she cherished above all else.

Yet now, things have taken a dark turn in Hannah’s world since the love of her life unexpectedly passed away. Meanwhile, her band’s stardom has nosedived into a depressing downward spiral, and they’re now lucky if they can manage a gig inside a noisy dive bar filled with unamused regulars.

As Hannah and her bandmates attempt to revive their band’s success with a new and improved musical sound, our leading lady must cope with the devastating loss of her one true love. While it may seem like a hopeless situation with nothing going right for Hannah, author Ashley Winstead promises to inject hope into the novel, leaving the reader feeling as though there’s beauty amidst sorrow and grief.

What makes the book extra special is how close the project hits home for the author, who was experiencing a similar tragedy as her protagonist while writing the novel. According to Winstead, she lost her father unexpectedly at the same time she was working on this book. "That’s when I understood what The Future Saints needed to be: not a tragedy, but a book about the incredible human instinct to persist,” Winstead poignantly revealed to PEOPLE.

I don’t know about you guys, but I seriously can’t wait to get my hands on The Future Saints. I’ll be first in line at the bookstore on January 20th, thank you very much.!
