Jetting off for an epic around the world adventure or trip abroad with friends calls for a ton of planning, like doing your research to craft the perfect travel itinerary and making sure that you’ve taken all of the steps to ensure your info is safe in case of an emergency like losing your passport. Another thing you need to do? Figure out if the country you’re planning to visit requires a travel visa, how much it costs, and what the exact regulations for visiting are. Lucky for all of us, the wanderlust-worthy site How I Travel has launched a Worldwide Visa Requirements site specifically for US citizens.
Designed in a super-clean and easy to use way, the site lets you scroll through alphabetized countries (everywhere from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe) or search for the places you’re planning to hit up on your trip. Once you’ve found the countries that apply, you have all of the info you need right on screen:
- Visa requirements, if they apply
- If you need a visa, a link to download the application
- The visa cost
- The maximum number of days you can stay in the country
- If you need a yellow fever vaccination
- If you’re at risk for malaria
The site looks just as fantastic and works just as well on mobile too, so remember that you can pull it up while you’re planning your next destination or during your travels if you need an extra reference while already on your way — or, you know, happen to score $200 roundtrip plane tickets to Iceland on a whim.
