Victoria Beckham’s Target Collection Celebrates Spice Girls Everywhere
Before she was Victoria Beckham, fashion icon, she was Posh Spice, pop star and ’90s girl crush. She may have grown out of her Spice Girl costumes and earned her place in the designer pantheon, be she’s still all about that girl power. And her new fashion collab, Victoria Beckham x Target, is proof.
The collection for Target, set to launch in stores and online on April 9, is designed for grown women and young girls. Inspired by her 5-year-old daughter Harper, Beckham set out to create budget-friendly, whimsical looks—brightly colored prints, patterned dresses, pastel jackets and tops—for ladies of all ages.
“It’s fun, it’s energizing, it’s a powerful connection, and you can’t help but smile when you look at it,” Beckham said of the line, in an interview with E! News.
In recent years, the artist formerly known as Posh joined the ranks of high fashion designers, launching her own runway-ready label and beauty brand. But the ad for her Target line is a shout-out to her roots. The video features models of all ages sporting her designs (ranging from $6-$70), alongside a kick-ass Spice Girls soundtrack. Yup, Beckham chose “Spice Up Your Life” for the video.
