Your Favorite Harry Potter Character Is Headed Back to TV
Since depicting a few of the most loved movie characters of all time, the cast of Harry Potter has gone on to work on some impressive projects. Daniel Radcliffe has acted in a number of successful plays. Emma Watson has become a feminist ambassador. But we haven’t seen quite as much of our friend, Rupert Grint (AKA Ron Weasley). That won’t be the case for long, though. Our favorite redhead is getting back in front the screen for a TV series adaptation of the cult classic film, Snatch.
The original 2000 movie directed by Guy Ritchie, was centered around a group of conmen connected to a diamond heist. The series adaptation will follow a similar premise and is set to be released on the Sony-owned streaming network Crackle. Rupert Grint will play the lead role of Charlie Cavendish who’s described as “dynamic, frustratingly chaotic and utterly posh” by the network.
Also in the upcoming series is Gossip Girl’s Ed Westwick (AKA Chuck Bass). Welp, looks like all our high-school crushes are uniting for this ten episode treat. The series is set to air in 2017.
