Everything You Want to Know About Olivia Pope’s Wedding Dress
Last night, Scandal aired its 100th episode, and producers went all out to make sure fans across the country were satisfied with the milestone episode that featured a WEDDING! And not just any wedding — Olivia Pope’s. Well… sort of.
While the crisis management consultant played by Kerry Washington didn’t actually tie the knot, the show explored an alternate reality where she married Fitzgerald Grant in a custom Anne Barge gown that had our jaws on the floor.

Washington posted several shots of herself in the dress, writing, “So much joy in my heart. 100 episodes in. Never could have imagined or predicted all the love and gratitude that’s in my heart today. There’s no family like the #ScandalFam and that includes every single one of you #gladiators too!”
Part of the Barge’s Fall 2016 collection, Pope’s dress reportedly retails for $4,500 and features a silk chiffon satin bodice with an Italian silk Kalika.

The actress opted for comfort while filming, gleefully showing off a behind-the-scenes look that included a little hidden secret — like the fact that she was actually wearing a pair of jeans beneath the dress.

“The truth underneath it all,” she wrote. “Gotta be comfy.”
The 40-year-old also dished on the rest of details that made the look extra special, such as the Tiffany & Co. pearl earrings that she loved so much, she bought them. “They were beautiful Tiffany’s drop pearls and I just thought they would be special to have for the rest of my life to remember this milestone,” she told E!.
As for her gem-accented hairstyle, Washington says it was an homage to Janelle Monae’s Golden Globes look.
P.S. my dear @JanelleMonae that wedding hair was TOTALLY inspired by your Golden Globes glam 😍 #scandal100 #Scandal
