Plus Model and Activist KhrystyAna Stars in ShopSpring’s Latest Campaign
While the fashion and modeling industry can be cutthroat at best — whether you’re a size zero or 16 — that’s not stopping KhrystyAna from fighting the fight for sizing inclusivity. It’s the 32-year-old body-positive activist and current ANTM contestant’s latest campaign with online shopping destination ShopSpring that will prove to be empowering to women of all shapes.
In the campaign, KhrystyAna appears photographed in five fashion-forward looks. From a bubblegum pink knit sweater and coordinating blazer to an edgy leather moto jacket and rainbow accordion pleat skirt, the Siberia-born model rocks it out in high-profile brands like Anine Bing, Alice + Olivia, Theory, See by Chloe, All Saints, and Levi’s. It goes without saying that the snaps are FLAWLESS, but it’s the message behind the campaign that will surely be making waves in an industry plagued by low self-esteem and body image issues. It only seems fitting that the social media influencer (boasting no less than 213K Instagram followers and counting) has practically become a spokeswoman for promoting self-acceptance, reminding us that real beauty comes from within.
“Shopping on Spring is just pure joy. I love that curvy women can actually wear what they see in the campaign and feel fashionable,” notes KhrystyAna on the range of size inclusive styles offered on Spring, an e-commerce platform featuring a high-low mix of 1,500 emerging designers, brands, and luxury labels.
Katie Tobias, Head of Brand Marketing at Spring echoes KhrystyAna’s sentiment. “Spring is thrilled to share this campaign. Our customer, the millennial female, demands transparency, authenticity, and diversity in all things. As a brand, we strive to deliver that in everything we do, and we hope our customers can see themselves in these beautiful images.” While change doesn’t happen overnight, here’s to hoping more brands and online shopping platforms follow in Spring’s direction by tapping plus-size models for major campaigns.
