Baby rumors are swirling fiercely around the most famous reality TV family in the biz, as pregnancy questions follow Kylie Jenner and Khlo茅 Kardashian, and fans await news on Kim Kardashian expecting her third child via surrogate. This week, Kourtney Kardashian found herself caught up in the gossip too, when reports claimed that she jokingly told an interviewer she was pregnant. But the situation is not what you think.

The eldest Kardashian-Jenner sibling (who has three kids with Scott Disick and is currently dating 24-year-old model Younes Bendjima) apparently startled a Grazia writer by saying, 鈥淚鈥檓 pregnant,鈥 during a recent chat. The reporter even notes in the story that she 鈥渄eclare[d]鈥 the news 鈥渨ith all the gravitas of a newscaster announcing World War III.鈥 A few sentences later, though, the interviewer says Kardashian clarified that she was joking 鈥渁fter an uncomfortably long pause.鈥

Naturally, fans freaked out on social media 鈥 some over the thought of another baby on the way, and others over the idea that the KarJenners are just trolling everyone. Before things got too out of hand, though, the 38-year-old took to Twitter to clear things up.

鈥淚 see online that I said I was pregnant in an interview, but that was completely taken out of context,鈥 she explained, adding, 鈥淭he interviewer asked me 鈥榃hat鈥檚 a crazy rumor that you鈥檝e heard about yourself?鈥 and my answer was鈥︹橧鈥檝e heard that I am pregnant.'鈥

That certainly sounds different from the reporter鈥檚 version of what happened. But it鈥檚 possible there was a misunderstanding or misinterpretation. In any case, the family may want to be careful about saying the word 鈥減regnant鈥 to someone in the press for the next few months.
