I’ve always been impressed by the acting range of Matthew Lewis, who at this point has portrayed every role under the sun. The upcoming TV series by Channel 5 will revolve around Lewis’s character, Dan, a congregation leader who is hoping to revamp his church with modernized values. This causes tension among the parish, and while this storm is brewing away, an unexpected death occurs on the sanctuary’s grounds. It looks to be a murder, leading to fear and speculation amongst the churchgoers.
At this point, nothing seems to be going right for Dan. On top of the church’s division, the reverend has no choice but to find the suspect who killed the victim of the crime, who was left for dead inside the church.

The murder mystery series starring Matthew Lewis is, in fact, based on a highly acclaimed novel series from the Canon Clemont Mysteries, by writer Reverend Richard Coles. Released in 2022, these books became instant best-sellers within the genre. Since the novels were such a success, it’s no surprise that they’re being adapted into a TV show, starring such a brilliant ensemble cast.
