Old Hollywood glamour? Oh yeah, it’s back and better than ever. While watching many red carpets over the past few months, we lost count of how many retro hairstyles we saw. Looks like vintage trends are all the rage, and we’re definitely jumping on that bandwagon. We’re taking a break from obsessing over the exquisite fashion and beauty sense of Lupita Nyong’o and turning back the clock with these 30 hair and makeup tutorials inspired by style icons Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe, Natalie Wood and so many more.

1. Natalie Wood’s Overall Look: I first saw Natalie Wood in Rebel Without a Cause (kind of an unintentionally funny movie, from a modern viewer’s perspective) and was just in awe of how beautiful she looked throughout the whole thing. Not only could this girl act, but she could also pull off awesomely bold lips and brows. (via Bon Bon Rose Girls)

2. Grace Kelly’s Braided Bun: Whoa! The Princess of Monaco didn’t even need a tiara when she had this fabulous bun atop her head. Our pick may not be as extravagant as hers, but it’s definitely more suitable for the modern woman. (via Story by Modcloth)

3. Audrey Hepburn’s Raspberry Lips: One of our favorite trends right now is bold lips. Seriously, this bright pop of color is enough to turn any look from drab to fab! (via The House of Smiths)

4. Katharine Hepburn’s Trademark Hair: We’re not totally on board with bringing this style back, but it was just so perfectly mimicked that we had to share it with you all. Liv at Bouffants and Bobbypins did a great job with Katharine Hepburn’s signature hairdo. (via Bouffants and Bobbypins)

5. Elizabeth Taylor’s Smudged Wraparound Eyeliner: Elizabeth Taylor was so well known for her violet eyes that it only makes sense that she rocked makeup that emphasized their color. This tutorial’ll teach you how to execute wraparound eyeliner without looking like a raccoon. (Don’t worry. We’ve all been there.) (via Total Beauty)

6. Lucille Ball’s Iconic Hairdo: Have you ever wondered how on earth Lucy got this crazy mop of curls on top of her head? We definitely have. Lucy, you got some ‘splainin’ to do! (via Sailing Over a Cardboard Sea)

7. Marilyn Monroe’s “No Makeup” Look: We all know Marilyn always looked great in her iconic makeup, but she didn’t even need all of that to show off her beauty. We’re huge fans of this “no makeup” look. (via Beauty Store Depot)

8. Bette Davis’s Vintage Finger Waves: Bette Davis (along with Lucy, actually) may have been a lot older than most of the women on this list, but she definitely deserves to be featured! Just look at how classic those finger waves are. Perfection. (via Refinery29)

9. Natalie Wood’s Transformative Look: Yes, Natalie is back! Her trademark look is a perfect example of how easy it is to turn your day look into something equally amazing for a fun night out. (via Celebrity Red Carpet)

10. Judy Garland’s Tight Curls: Dorothy’s yellow brick road may have led her home, but ours led us to this fantastic tutorial on how to get retro curls. We’re not the least bit disappointed. Who needs ruby slippers when you have hair as awesome as this? (via Trend Vogue)

11. Grace Kelly’s Bridal Makeup: The bride was as beautiful as Princess Grace Kelly on her wedding day, and then they all lived happily ever after. The end. (via The Raeviewer)

12. Veronica Lake’s Trademark Waves: There’s a reason these waves are so famous! We approve of Chrissann deeming this her “come hither” hair. (via Ducklings in a Row)

13. Marilyn Monroe’s Signature Look: We know that we said we loved Marilyn’s minimalistic makeup look, but this one is just a classic. (via Life in Red Lipstick)

14. Audrey Hepburn’s Eye Makeup: Audrey is one of our favorite icons. She dressed well, sang beautifully and looked radiant in this wonderful eye makeup. (via Sharon the Makeup Artist)

15. Shirley MacLaine’s Lazy Finger Waves: If you don’t have the long tresses of these actresses, don’t worry! You can still rock a short wavy ‘do just like the sassy Shirley MacLaine. (via A Practical Wedding)

16. Tippi Hedren’s Crazy Bun: Tippi’s whimsical and crazy hairdo definitely caught our attention. Since you may not want to rock something quite as shocking (but hey, props to those who do), we recommend this super cool swirly bun. (via Bridal Musings)

17. Lucille Ball’s I Love Lucy Look: Who wants to wait for Halloween? We say throw a costume party in the spring, and go as Lucy with this excellent makeup and hair duo. (via The Jessica Harlow Blog)

18. Anouk Aimée’s Cat Eye: Cat eyes are one of our all-time favorite eye looks. Here’s Brit + Co.’s very own Misty Spinney to show you how it’s done! (via Brit + Co.)

19. Natalie Wood’s Sleek Retro Bob: By this time, you can probably tell that Natalie Wood is also one of my Old Hollywood favorites. Her sleek bob is another perfect example of how gals with short hair can still rock a retro ‘do. (via Latest Hairstyles)

20. Audrey Hepburn’s Breakfast at Tiffany’s ‘Do: Now’s your chance to look like Audrey in one of her most famous roles of all time. Here’s to you, Holly Golightly. (via Bridal Musings)

21. Marilyn Monroe’s Famous Pin Curls: We couldn’t possibly talk about vintage ‘dos without including pin curls! The tutorial’s quite simple. You only need a curling iron, a comb, some bobby pins and a whole lotta hairspray. (via The Freckled Fox)

22. Natalie Wood’s Full + Defined Brows: Lily Collins and Cara Delevingne? Nah, we’re sharing a tutorial on how to accentuate your eyebrows inspired by the lovely Natalie Wood. We’re feelin’ some serious brow envy right now. (via Camille Styles)

23. Grace Kelly’s Trademark Makeup: Sharon the Makeup Artist has done it again! This time, she’s here to show us how to get Grace Kelly’s simple yet stunning signature look (how’s that for alliteration?). (via Sharon the Makeup Artist):

24. Shirley MacLaine’s Orange Lips: So… we’re not quite sure what’s going on in this picture, but we know that Shirley MacLaine looked great in orange lips. And now, you can too. (via Laura Neuzeth)

25. Tippi Hedren’s The Birds Hair: For a woman getting violently attacked by crazed birds, Tippi Hedren managed to look pretty cool and classy with this vintage updo. (via Hair and Makeup by Steph)

26. Anouk Aimée’s Voluminous Straight Hair: The French Anouk Aimée has starred in more than 70 films over the span of seven decades. We’re about just as jealous of her gorgeous hair as we are of her successful career. (via Luxy Hair)

27. Grace Kelly’s Side-Swept Curls: Emily at the Freckled Fox has so many fabulous hair tutorials, and we think this might be one of the best. Here’s a modern take on Grace Kelly’s side-swept curls. (via The Freckled Fox)

28. Elizabeth Taylor’s Red Lips: No matter what your skin tone is, there is always a shade of red lipstick for you. We believe (and hope) that the bold lips trend is here to stay. (via Brit + Co.)

29. Audrey Hepburn’s Sleek Ponytail: When in doubt, go with a ponytail (if I had long hair, that’d be my motto). The fun, pulled-back look gets even better when it’s sleek. (via A Cup of Jo)

30. Audrey Hepburn’s Glittery Gold Eyes: Here at Brit + Co., all that glitters is gold. Wait, this eye makeup tutorial is glittery and gold?! We’re in heaven. (via Keiko Lynn)
