Starbucks Just Teamed Up With Chase to Bring You a Credit Card With Next Level Rewards
Brace yourselves, Starbucks fans: your rewards incentive stakes just got a whole lot higher! Everyone’s favorite coffee chain has just teamed up with Chase to bring you its very first Starbucks Rewards Visa Card, designed specifically to (you guessed it!) help you rack up rewards, and fast.
For starters, you’ll automatically get 250 stars (that’s TWO free drinks for current Gold members, with cardholders automatically being elevated to Gold status) for using your card to digitally load your funds on the Starbucks app, plus one star for each additional reload.
From there, for every $1 you spend at Starbucks, you’ll earn up to three stars, according to Cosmopolitan. Spend $500 in the first three months, and you’ll get 2,500 stars (the rough equivalent of 20 free drinks), all in addition to the eight free drinks known as “Barista Picks” you’ll automatically see loaded to your account annually.
What’s more, you’ll constantly be earning stars toward you next drink, even when you’re not drinking coffee, with your card giving you one star for every $4 spent regardless of store.
As the java hut’s Executive Vice-President and Chief Strategy Officer, Matt Ryan, said in a press release, “It’s important to us to make earning Rewards as easy for our customers as possible, and the Starbucks Rewards Visa Card is a powerful tool for us to do that because of how easily it fits into their daily lives. This credit card also makes every day more rewarding for Starbucks and Chase customers through the ability to quickly earn Stars and benefits – including more food and beverage Rewards for any occasion.”
TBH, it sounds like a pretty sweet deal in exchange for the $49 annual fee you’ll pay, though members are subject to approval.
