The Newsroom’s Alison Pill Had a Baby and You’ll Love the Literary Inspiration Behind Her Name
Between Adele’s announcement that she’ll be trying for a baby during her break from music following her tour, baby Dream Kardashian’s adorable Christmas getup and the birth of Meghan King Edmonds’ daughter Aspen, you may have had your baby fill for the day, but jusssstttt in case, we’ve got some more headed your way.
Alison Pill of HBO’s The Newsroom has given birth to a daughter of her own with husband and actor Joshua Leonard, whom you might recognize from The Blair Witch Project.
Posting a pic to Instagram of her new little family over the holiday, Alison writes, “So much to be thankful for. Wilder Grace Leonard, born November 19, 2016.”

It’s a lovely and interesting name, to be sure, but given the passage that Alison ended her caption with (attributed to Thornton Wilderby with a hashtag), we can only assume it’s a nod to the late playwright and author.
“Oh, Earth, you’re too wonderful for anyone to realize you…Do humans ever realize life while they live it? ― every, every minute?”
Since Joshua retweeted the same pic with the same caption (and hashtag), we’re going to go with yes.
Here’s to wishing all three of them a lifetime full of those wonderful (and realized!) moments to come!
