This Bikini Is Made of *Actual* Pizza and Costs As Much As a Car
Summer is in full swing, which means bathing suits are as natural a wardrobe choice as aT-shirt and jeans. But there’s absolutely *nothing* natural about the pizza bikini made of actual dough that will soon be up for grabs for a cool $10,000.
To celebrate National Bikini Day (it’s a thing) on July 5, Villa Italian Kitchen has collaborated with New York City food stylist Jessie Bearden to create a bikini made entirely of pepperoni pizza. The culinary creation is hand-braided with dough made from scratch, whole-milk mozzarella cheese, California tomato sauce, and, of course, pepperoni.
The restaurant gave us a sneak peek at the fitting over on its Facebook page, and shockingly, it seems to hold up pretty well as the model bends her legs in various poses, though there’s no word on its actual shelf life. Then again, pizza *is* rather pliable, so perhaps it’s not such a shock after all.
The look will be up for grabs on July 5 only, with the price including a consultation, fitting, topping preference, and, of course, your brand new, totally unique suit. All you have to do is message the company on Facebook to get started.
It may be greasy, and we certainly wouldn’t recommend actually wearing it in the water, but perhaps it’s worth it for the ‘gram?
What do you think of the pizzakini? Tell us @BritandCo!
