One of the reasons I’m looking forward to this book is that it’s a thriller. I think Hoover’s best work so far has been within this genre (AKA Verity), so I’m honestly really excited to see what she’ll offer with this hot-button book.
She revealed on The Today Show that Woman Down is going to be her “darkest” novel to date. "It is a thriller,” the best-selling author said. “Probably one of the darkest books I've written so far.”
