Prince Harry Interviewed Barack Obama and the Teaser Will Make You LOL

The Royal Family had a unique — and often times hilarious — relationship with the Obamas during their time in the White House: You might recall the time they responded to Prince Harry’s Invictus Games challenge with a video that had the Queen throwing some LOL-worthy shade, for instance. Now, the soon-to-be wed prince is giving us even more reason to chuckle, as he prepares to sit down with Barack Obama for what is sure to be an epic interview set to air December 27.

Taking on the role of guest editor at BBC Radio 4’s Today show, Prince Harry met the former US President at Toronto’s Invictus Games back in September for a 40-minute interview that began with the pair taking some seriously sassy jabs at one another.

As can be seen in the teaser clip, the 44th president kicks things off by asking if he needs to speak more quickly or, even better, in a British accent. The prince informs him that he does not, but adds, “If you start using long pauses between answers, you’re going to get The Face.” At that point, he shows off an awfully stern look at which the former commander-in-chief laughs, “I don’t want to see that face!”

According to the Royal family Twitter, the conversation with Obama will “[include] his memories of the day he left office and his hopes for his post-presidential life, including his plans to focus on cultivating the next generation of leadership through the @ObamaFoundation.”

We’ll DEFINITELY be marking our calendars for this one!

Out of this year's April movies (and all the spring movies, TBH), Música is the one that will stick with me for a long time. The 2024 movie, which follows a street performer named Rudy living with synesthesia, is holistically sensory and colorful, and engages both your heart and your brain. It's truly unlike anything I've ever seen, which is exactly what I tell stars Camila Mendes and Rudy Mancuso over Zoom. Turns out, the unique concept of the movie was thrilling for Camila, too!

After a 7-season stint on Riverdale, and her recent The Devil Wears Prada-esque rom-com Upgraded, the actress says she's excited to engage with new concepts. "I think right now I'm just looking to do something that I haven't done before," Camila says. "That's always what I'm looking for, just having something be a little different than the last thing I did to keep it exciting for me."

Falling For "Música"

Image via Prime Video

Like any good rom-com, Música features a memorable meet cute — and it's just as unique as the rest of the movie. It's love at first sight when Rudy sees Camila's character Isabella in their local fish market...then accidentally gets hit in the head with a fish. Thankfully, it doesn't stop Rudy and Isabella from getting to know each other, and the duo spends an afternoon in the park talking about music, family, and their futures. As someone who feels personally victimized by online dating, I have to ask Camila Mendes and Rudy Mancuso's best advice for pursuing a crush in the real world.

"The truth is that the characters themselves, Isabella and [Rudy's other love interest] Haley, yes they are based on kind of culminations of experiences and people, but more than anything, they're also symbolic and representative of two very different directions Rudy could feasibly take," Rudy tells me. "And ultimately [he has] to make that decision for himself. So where Haley might represent a safer route, you know, Isabella kind of introduces this adventurous spirit and also encourages Rudy to stay true to who he is. So I guess my advice for people would be to ultimately try and find their own path, but support yourself with others who encourage you to be you."

Camila Mendes & Rudy Mancuso's Chemistry Is More Than Movie Magic

Image via Prime Video

After I bring up the scene in the park, the co-stars (who are a couple IRL!!!), reveal to me it was the first scene they shot together. "That's when it really felt like the chemistry was alive," Camila says. ("That was day one. Ambitious first day," Rudy adds).

And you can totally feel their chemistry as a viewer — the actors have an electricity between them, yet you can tell they're incredibly comfortable around each other. I never would have guessed it was their first scene!

"Getting to do that with him on the first day really set the tone for the project," Camila continues. "I got a taste of what he was like as a director, and while he was directing, he'd come back and talk to me for a bit and we'd have our little chemistry and then he would go back to filming."

The actress admits it's been "very effortless" to balance working together, playing their characters, and getting to know each other in real life. "I think it just kind of weaved into our lives very naturally," she adds.

"We spent a great deal of time developing together," Rudy says. "Cami, as co-star and co-producer, was [really involved] in the evolution of the script and the role and the characters and the themes. So as we developed, we got closer and the lines began to blur between Rudy and Isabella, and Rudy and Camila."

For Rudy Mancuso, "Música" Was A Family Affair

Image via Prime Video

The lines also began to blur for Rudy in a whole new way because his mom also played a role in the movie! When I ask about filming scenes with her, Rudy immediately pulls out his phone. "That's so funny — you're saying that and I have three missed calls from my mom right now," he says. "It's dangerously authentic, this film. I mean, Cami can attest to just how how viciously real these these moments...and the dynamic between my mother and I [were]."

"A lot of it for her was improv-ed," Camila adds. "Obviously [she'd] stick to the general script, but Rudy really would let her kind of run with her own interpretations of things and give her own spin on every line. So it really is authentically your mom."

"That's one of the most fun parts of shooting this," Rudy continues. "I mean, I'm not as qualified and trained as an actor as Cami, but as an actor on this film, as I said, the lines are always blurred. I mean, we'd set up multiple cameras and just talk."

Camila Mendes Dishes On The Future

Image via Prime Video

While Rudy Mancuso and Camila Mendes are laser focused on getting Música into the world, Camila says she'd love to work with Brazilian actress Bruna Marquezine in the future ("We've been Instagram friends for a while and I feel like that would be a great person to collaborate with one day"), but she also wants to make a movie that impacts others' lives the way two of her favorite movies impacted her own.

"Requiem For A Dream traumatized me when I was younger, but in a way that was like, 'Wow, like I wanna make movies like that one day,'" she says. "And then I think in a [positive way], I remember being so enamored with [Moulin Rouge] when I was younger. That movie felt so magical to me."

"One of the first films I've ever seen was Central Station, Central do Brasil. It's a Brazilian film and my mom showed it to me probably a little younger than I should have seen it," Rudy admits. "It made me want to make films and it made me want to compose music for films. Because the score was just as beautiful as the filmmaking execution."

"I'm obsessed with film compositions and film composers," Rudy continues, and we bond over our love for film scores. "Everything from going for a run to listening to music on a trip or a plane — it's usually film scores. But, I'm all over the place. [Camila] has introduced me to more music than probably anybody I've ever met."

"I'm like, 'You ever heard of Ice Spice?'" Camila jokes. "Honestly, I'm listening to the new Ariana Grande album because it just came out and I've been going through it, picking my favorites. [I] listen to a lot of Kali Uchis...when I want to be in a good mood."

Image via Prime Video

I can wholeheartedly say that movie fans will want to add Música to their watchlist when *they* need to get in a good mood, too. The spring flick is everything romantic movie lovers could want — and it might just make you look at the world in a whole new way.

You can watch Rudy Mancuso and Camila Mendes in Música on Prime Video starting April 4. Watch this interview on our YouTube page, and check out this year's upcoming Summer Movies too!

I am no stranger to the late night snack. Far too many times I’ve snuck into the pantry past midnight to find a little rat snack to nibble on. You know what happens when the sweet tooth strikes!

Sadly, enjoying the midnight snack I want to eat every night (ice cream, duh) isn’t realistic for the sake of my health (that sugar high goes crazy). Luckily, there are a ton of healthy late-night snacks to enjoy – with most of them being a bag open away!

My fave healthy late-night snacks range sweet to savory, and all of them hit the spot. Scroll to see the brands killing the healthy late-night snack game!

The Only Bean Crunchy Dry Roasted Edamame Snacks

These dried edamame beans are a great healthy late-night snack to have if you're aiming to eat a high-protein diet. One pack of this crunchy treat delivers 14 grams of protein, plus they're fully vegan, keto-friendly, gluten-free, and dairy free for all to enjoy! The individual serving packs also make this snack easy to take on the go!

Deux Cinnamon Sugar Donuts

I can't say enough about Deux! They sell edible cookie doughs and dessert spreads, too, but their donut holes just hit different. One serving of the Cinnamon Sugar flavor (the best flavor, IMO) has 140 calories, but what makes them a healthy late-night snack is the inclusion of B12 and L-theanine, which help support your energy & metabolism. Even though these bites are "healthier," they still taste like a real cake donut (icing and all), which is optimal for satisfying sweets cravings!

SmartSweets Sourmelon Bites Sour Gummy Candy

🎶 I want candy! 🎶 No, seriously – I want candy. But when I want candy that's not as harsh in terms of sugar content and artificial additives, I reach for these watermelon-flavored SmartSweets gummies. The entire bag is one serving, which is super satisfying to me! Plus, there's only 3 grams of sugar in one bag. I will say the texture doesn't really compare your regular sour gummies do (they're a bit sticky), but I'm still obsessed with the flavor given that this is a "healthier" snack.

Siete Grain Free Cinnamon Chips Churro Strips

Siete is another food brand that's stacked with options for healthy late-night snacks. My favorite pick of 'em all are these grain-free churro chips, which are made with minimal, whole ingredients and crafted using only 100% avocado oil. They're sweet, sugary (sweetened with coconut sugar – chef's kiss 🤌), and crunchy all at the same time, and taste ahh-mazing with some hot chocolate.

CHOMPS Grass Fed Original Beef Jerky Snack Sticks

There's nothing like a meat stick when you're strapped for a snack, IMO. They're packed with protein that'll fill you up, plus the taste and texture are often super pleasing when hunger strikes. That's the case with these snack sticks from CHOMPS – a single serving delivers an impressive 10 grams of protein for only 100 calories, and get this: there's 0 grams of sugar!

MOSH Cookie Dough Crunch Protein Bars

If I could eat a MOSH bar every night, I would. The protein bar brand, founded by none other than Maria Shriver and Patrick Schwarzenegger, never misses when it comes to texture and taste. As opposed to most other protein bars I've tried that boast grainy, chalky formulations, MOSH bars are always creamy and smooth. They also have the perfect amount of crunch with tiny crisps mixed in! One bar of the Cookie Dough Crunch flavor is 160 calories, has 12 grams or protein, and 1 gram of sugar.

gimMe Extra Virgin Olive Oil Organic Roasted Seaweed Snacks

These are crazy because I could eat ten packs and still want more. But they're healthy! Potato chips have truly met their match. These organic seaweed snacks made with EVOO are vegan, Paleo, Keto, low-calorie (30 cals a serving), and rich in vitamins B12 and iodine. You can even snag 'em in flavors like Wasabi, Chili Lime, and Teriyaki.

LesserEvil Himalayan Pink Salt Organic Popcorn

Another amazing alternative for a bag of greasy potato chips (love 'em, but my tummy doesn't), this minimally-processed bagged popcorn from LesserEvil is still wonderfully crunchy and salty. They also air-pop their popcorn to be lighter and fluffier than most other kinds you'll find on the market. This healthy late-night snack boasts a lower calorie count and higher fiber content than other bagged popcorns, too! Now that's what I call a win.

Grillo's Pickles Classic Dill Pickle Chips

Pickle girls, rise up. I am officially deeming pickles a healthy late-night snack! One serving of these gorgeous Grillo's pickle chips is just 5 calories... wild. Although they boast 200 mg of sodium (9% of your daily recommended intake), these pickles are made with clean ingredients for healthy, guilt-free late-night snack seshes. Crunch away, my love.

Hu Salty Dark Chocolate 70% Cacao Candy

These dark chocolate bars from Hu are insane, I tell ya! Their formulations are free of any refined sugar, cane sugar, sugar alcohols, dairy, palm oil, gluten, and soy, plus they're primarily made with Fairtrade ingredients. If that's not an excuse to eat chocolate every night, I don't know what is.

Harvest Snaps Green Pea Snack Crisps Lightly Salted

Snacking on plant-based protein is always a good way to go when you're looking for healthy late-night snacks. That way, you can actually feel full and satisfied after eating! I could truly shovel a whole bag of these Harvest Snaps crisps into my mouth, but they're worth savoring. In each serving of this perfectly-salted treat, you'll get 130 calories, 5 grams of protein, and even 4 grams of dietary fiber!

Kira Peikoff knows we're living in unprecedented times with the ever-changing scopes of technology and science and beyond...but she doesn't necessarily think it's a bad thing. She says, "I love writing about the impact of new and emerging technologies on our lives and on our world." In fact, she's dreamt up a world that marries the two in her upcoming science fiction novel Baby X. It's a mix of mystery and thriller, inspired by everything from recent events to fertility advancements. Still, she knows there's always dangers lurking beneath a reimagined dystopian society so I chatted with her to learn more about her inspo for writing a gripping novel like Baby X.

B+C: You set "Baby X" in a world that's moved past the pandemic and influencer age. What about these things stood out to you and serve as inspiration for the book?

Kira Peikoff: It's backstory in my book starts about 30 years from our present day so some of my characters were kids in today's world who were growing up amidst the chaos of the pandemic and our politics. This moment in time culturally shaped my characters because they are probably more prone to rebel against the status quo, cultural norms, and conventions that that pandemic has thrown into disarray.

B+C: When you were writing "Baby X," did you know that you wanted to have chapters where the characters gave their own POVs?

Kira Peikoff: I'm someone who extensively plots my work before I even write the first page and in this case, I think I spend about two to three months just thinking about the characters and what kind of stories they were in the middle of in their own lives. Basically I knew exactly what the answers were by the time I sat down writing .

B+C: We're in this digital world where we're seeing the shuttering of publications that have been around for a long time and we have a character who's excited to have this opportunity to work somewhere that reminds her of the traditional way of writing. Do you feel like her feelings were displaced when she meets someone else who has a similar opportunity?

Kira Peikoff: Yeah, I think her feelings of insecurity are warranted even though she has a lot to offer. I tried to show that she was very motivated, hardworking, and bright, and has gotten herself into an amazing fellowship at a very prestigious outlet that's a combination of The New Yorker and Wired. They cover highbrow topics from a technological perspective.

So, this character gets this fellowship and she's paired with another postgraduate fellow who was a selected embryo and this other fellow is extremely talented in ways that makes her feel inadequate. Over time, this character learns that your predispositions are what you make of them.

Your own energy, drive, passions, creativity, and what you bring to the table matters more than your scores as an embryo. That's the message I really want to get out there and hopefully comes across by the end of the book.

B+C: We're living in unprecedented times where things like IVF are now in limbo because of recent rulings and there's a little fear that this choice can be taken away from parents. If given the chance, do you think parents would choose their children's genetics in the future?

Kira Peikoff: I think there's a lot going on to unpack. These types of politics that we're seeing in Alabama and other states absolutely jeopardize and imperil the technologies that could actually help parents in the future to have healthier children or have more freedom in terms of who can procreate. The technology in my book has already been shown to work in mice.

But, it would absolutely be impossible if the prevailing politics take over. That's certainly an issue to be wary about. However, I think there will be a demand for parents to select embryos with certain genetics. We already see the competitive impulses parents have on getting their kids into good colleges.

B+C: Women are often told their biological clock is ticking, but that language is nonexistent in "Baby X." Was that intentional?

Kira Peikoff: Absolutely. I think part of the huge benefits of the technology — and of course there's risk associated with it — are that age doesn't matter anymore and you don't have to rely on your supply of eggs that you were born with as an infant. [In the book] all you have to do to reproduce is to give a swab of your cells and a lab would turn your cells from inside of your cheek into eggs or sperm.

You still have to carry the baby yourself or have a surrogate, but hormone support and drugs would make it possibly to carry later in life. We're seeing that age 35 is not a sharp cut off for pregnancy today. Instead it's a slow curve that decreases over time.

Spring 2022 — Camila Mendes And Rudy Mancuso Meet On The Set Of Música

Camila Mendes and her boyfriend met while filming Rudy's semi-autobiographical 2024 movie Música. Rudy plays a fictionalized version of himself, and the story follows him as he moves through life with synesthesia, and as he feels torn between settling down and pursuing his art. Camila stars as Isabella, who opens up Rudy's worldview in a whole new way.

The movie is artistic and colorful and musical in a way that I have never seen before, and I can't stop thinking about it. Camila Mendes and Rudy Mancuso also told me during our interview that this scene pictured above in the park was the very first scene they shot together. They're so comfortable around each other that I never would have guessed!

Once we saw her in Jumanji, we knew actress Kirsten Dunst would make us proud — especially as Torrance Shipman in the iconic cheer movie, Bring It On. She had us shouting, "Brrr, it's cold in here! There must be some Toros in the atmosphere" during recess...and now, if we're being honest! But, she wasn't the only person we had our eyes on.

There were so many '90s it girls who made an appearance in the movie that we couldn't help but wonder what the Bring It On cast has been up to since the movie premiered in 2000. Sigh...yes, it's been 23 years since Bring It On hit the big screen. ANYWAY, here's what your fave cheerleaders have been up to over the last two decades!

Kirsten Dunst — Torrance Shipman

Image via Aliah Anderson/Getty Images

Kirsten Dunst made us believe that "cheer is life" with her portrayal of Torrance Shipman in Bring It On, but her acting credits didn't end there. She went on to star in the earlier Spiderman franchises, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Marie Antoinette, Hidden Figures, and more! During a video interview with Variety, she fondly talked about starring in Bring It On. She said, "We did extensive dance rehearsal which I loved. I was a cheerleader in 8th grade — that's why I did the movie." Although she was a base in middle school, she got to do a little bit of flying in the movie. She was nervous because her best friend broke her arm doing so, but it seems everything turned out just fine! The best thing she said is, "That movie was a surprise to all of us — the success. We were just off in San Diego...having fun."

In another recent interview with E!, she described where she thinks Torrance Shipman would be today. "Good question. Coaching, maybe," she said with a smile.

Her latest project is the upcoming film Civil War that's set to revolve around an erupting civil war in America. She plays Lee, a celebrated war photojournalist who travels to different cities to document what's going on.

Eliza Dushku — Missy Pantone

Image via Andrew Toth/Getty Images for Tribeca Film Festival

Before she was Missy Pantone in Bring It On, Eliza Dushku was in the film True Lies with Arnold Schwarznegger and Jamie Lee Curtis. She also starred in Buffy The Vampire Slayer, That 70's Show, Ugly Betty, and a slew of other movies. Although she hasn't been acting lately, she did produce Mapplethorpe in 2018 via her production company, Boston Diva Productions.

Jesse Bradford — Cliff Pantone

Image via Imeh Akpanudosen/Getty Images

Did we have a crush on Jesse Bradford at one point? The correct answer is of course we did! Not only was he a part of the Bring It On cast, but he appeared in other fun teen movies like Cherry Falls with the late actress Brittany Murphy, Swimfan and Clockstoppers.

These days you can find him living his best life on Instagram.

Lindsay Sloane — Big Red

Image via Frazer Harrison/Getty Images for Max Mara

"Big Red" was played by none other than actress Lindsay Sloane. Her comedic timing has secured her spot as a comedian who's appeared in Nancy Drew, The Other Guys, and Horrible Bosses 1 and 2. Her last occurring role was as Judy on the updated version of The Wonder Years.

Gabrielle Union-Wade — Isis

Image via

Gabrielle Union-Wade has had a long acting career and has appeared in some of favorite coming-of-age movies. From being a part of the Bring It On cast to playing the lead character in Being Mary Jane, she's done more than make her mark in the entertainment industry. When she's not busy with family life, it's not unusual to see the actress secure brand partnerships.

Gabrielle's most recent appearance was at the 55th NAACP Image Awards with her husband Dwyane Wade on March 16.

Shamari Devoe — Lava

Image via Paras Griffin/Getty Images for BET

Shamari Devoe was one of Isis' right-hand girls in Bring It On, but she mostly known being the lead vocalist of former R&B group Blaque. She briefly appeared on season 11 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, but Yahoo reports she decided to part ways with the reality TV show.

She's married to Ronnie Devoe, a member of the R&B group New Edition, and they've appeared on Seasons 2 and 3 of Couples Retreat.

Natina Reed — Jenelope

Image via Vinnie Zuffante/Getty Images

Natina Reed was also among the Bring It On cast and was known for her melodic rapping in the girl group Blaque. However, she passed away in 2012 after being hit by a car. The Hollywood Reporter says she was attempting to cross the street.

Clare Kramer — Courtney

Image via Brendon Thorne/Getty Images

Clare Kramer may have played "Courtney" in Bring It On, but she was also known for playing the villain Glory on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. She also was a part of the Sabrina, the Teenage Witch cast! Her last role was Ms. Persephone in a movie called The Dead Ones.

Huntley Ritter — Les

Image via Stephen Shugerman/Getty Images

Ah, good ole Les! We can't forget his memorable character in Bring It On. However, he's also had a role in The Wedding Planner and We Are Marshall. Nowadays, Huntley is the Co-President/CCO of STFRD (Strafford), marketing company based out California.
