Psychological thriller fans, if you've already watched We Were Liars, a new series based on E. Lockhart's bestselling YA novel published in 2014, then this is for you. The story centers on Cadence Sinclair, a 17-year-old from a wealthy family. She spends her summers on private Beechwood Island, located off the coast of Massachusetts, with her cousins, known as "the liars."
But following an accident when she was 15 years old, she struggles with her memory, and after she goes back to Beechwood Island two years later, she begins to connect the dots.
Emily Alyn Lind is starring as Cadence, and other cast members include Brady Droulis, Caitlin FitzGerald, Mamie Gummer, Candice King, Rahul Kohli, Shubham Maheshwari, Esther McGregor, Joseph Zada, and more.

Season 1 is set in the mid-1990s and revolves around the disappearance of a popular teen girl, Kate Wallis. And in her place, a more socially awkward peer named Jeanette Turner steps into her life. Meanwhile, Season 2 takes place in a fictional Washington town and centers on a group of three friends whose relationships get upended following the leaking of a promiscuous tape.

It chronicles the lives of four friends–Spencer, Aria, Emily, and Hanna– who are struggling in the wake of their best friend Allison's disappearance. But just when they begin to move on, they each start receiving anonymous texts from someone referring to themselves as "A" and threatening to share their secrets.

You might remember Cruel Intentions as the teen drama film released in 1999. However, in 2024, the story returned to Prime Video as a modern series with the same name.
It features Sarah Catherine Hook (The White Lotus) and Zac Burgess as step-siblings Caroline and Lucien, who want to rise in the social ranks at Manchester College. But a hazing scandal threatens their social standing, so they come up with a plan to seduce the Vice President of the United States' daughter.

4. Scream — Stream on Apple TV+ or Prime Video

Inspired by the iconic Scream movies, MTV started airing a series of the same name back in 2015, starring Willa Fitzgerald (Pulse). It centers on a small fictional town known as Lakewood, where multiple murders take place as someone in a mask stalks teens and targets them one by one.
The first two seasons of this anthology slasher follow the same characters; meanwhile, the third and final season introduces a new cast and plot. Whether you loved the original Scream franchise or just enjoy trying to determine a villain's identity, you can catch the TV adaptation on Apple TV+ or Prime Video.
5. Riverdale — Stream on Netflix

Based on the Archie comics, Riverdale debuted in 2017 and ran for seven successful seasons. Set in a small town, it chronicles the relatable teen struggles of Archie Andrews and his friends. But at the same time, they're also dealing with the mysterious death of Jason Blossom, the twin brother of a popular girl named Cheryl, and plenty of secrets.
Riverdale is quite dark and stars Lili Reinhart, KJ Apa (The Map That Leads To You), Cole Sprouse, Camila Mendes (Musica), and Madelaine Petsch. Stream it now on Netflix.
6. The Wilds — Stream on Prime Video

The Wilds premiered on Prime Video in 2022 and tells the story of a group of teenage girls from varying backgrounds who are traveling to Hawaii when their plane crashes and they become stranded on a remote island. What they don't realize is that they're actually new subjects for a social experiment.
Sophia Ali, Shannon Berry, Reign Edwards, Jenna Clause, Helena Howard, Mia Healey, Sarah Pidgeon (American Love Story), Erana James, Troy Winbush, David Sullivan, and Rachel Griffiths star in the drama series. The Wilds ran for two seasons, both of which are available for streaming on Prime Video.
7. Saint X — Stream on Hulu

Saint X hit Hulu in 2023 and is based on Alexis Schaitkin's novel of the same name.
A young woman named Alison was murdered during a vacation to the Caribbean two decades ago, leading her younger sister, Emily, to try to uncover the truth.
West Duchovny portrays Alison, and Alycia Debnam-Carey depicts Emily. Other cast members in this psychological drama include Josh Bonzie, Jayden Elijah, Bre Francis, Kenlee Anaya Townsend, Michael Park, and Betsy Brandt. The first and only season of Saint X can be streamed on Hulu.
