How to Rock 3 Fall Style Trends for Any Body Type
While fall *is* all about layering, dressing for our body types is still VIP. C’mon, it’s silly to assume we’ll all slay in a wool turtleneck bodycon and a cashmere peacoat. Luckily, our sartorial idols are ever-evolving, and now more than ever, big-name brands are creating drop-dead gorgeous attire for all body types. YAY! To celebrate this long-overdue revolution, we’re teaming up with Neiman Marcus Last Call to show you our favorite fall trends for bods of all shapes and sizes.
Enter three of Brit + Co’s busiest bombshells: Kristina, Natasha and Alonna. These gals have a slew of party invites, fall fêtes and happy hour functions — and let’s be honest, late nights at the office — ahead of them this season, and their wardrobes need to keep up. With the help of our friends at Last Call, we found the perfect any-occasion-that-comes-their-way trends that also make them feel beautiful. Last Call offers virtually everything you need to take your look there via designer labels at an accessible price, so it’s become a B+C go-to when our closet needs a refresh. Scroll below to see what we scored!
KRISTINA — THE NEW BOHEMIAN
B+C sales gem Kristina loves the ease and color of bohemian-inspired designs, so she was on the hunt for a look that would upgrade her signature ’70s style with a dash of sophistication. The goal: Bring festival-ready fashion sensibilities to her nine-to-five while also accentuating her athletic build.
Kristina opted for this stunning, asymmetrically hemmed Tularosa dress in a rich shade of hunter green that was designed for the truly wild at heart. The flowy silo and relaxed fit complement Kristina’s naturally athletic frame, while the intricate embroidery, vintage accents and jeweled necklace instantly amp up the wow factor. She paired the number with sheer tights, Tahari color-blocked open-toed booties (which we’re kind of obsessed with) and a scratched gold cuff. Who says you have to abandon your free-wheelin’ festival ways in order to keep it profesh this fall?
Get the Look:Tularosa Lennon Asymmetric-Hem Dress in Olive ($99), Tahari Mercy Suede Open-Toe Bootie in Olive ($89), Lydell NYC Gold Interlocking Hinged Bracelet ($25), Panacea Golden Scratched Cuff Bracelet ($40), Lydell NYC Seven-Station Necklace ($41)
NATASHA — SHADES OF BERRY
Community Manager Natasha was on the lookout for the perfect dress to rock for a fall wedding that can pull double duty for occasions throughout the season and accentuate her enviable, hourglass figure. Natasha’s typical style strategy plays it safe with a closet full of basic black, but thanks to Last Call and her newly berry-fied pastel locks, she was able to go bold with one of this season’s hottest trends. Cue your new must-have color family of the season: ripe shades of berry.
Natasha chose this gorgeous lace, long-sleeved maxi in a rich shade of ripe berry, paired with Badgley Mischka suede booties that will show off her killer curves and break beyond the LBD. Fall 2016 is all about luscious, autumnal colors ranging from cranberry to deep red that are equal parts flattering and flirty. For a head-turning style that is individual, affordable and unforgettable, we think that Natasha made the right choice. Now let’s just hope she doesn’t outshine the bride at her vineyard wedding :)

ALONNA — FALL FLORALS
B+C’s Video Production Designer Alonna has been searching for swoon-worthy separates that will take her from desk to dinner without overpowering her petite frame *or* compromising her edge. The answer? Must-have pieces that feature this season’s most unexpected trend for cool-girl appeal — fall florals. The classically sweet print gets a tough-girl remix this season courtesy of lush, moody autumn blooms.
With a calendar full of post-work cocktails, gallery openings and Friendsgivings, Alonna was ready for a fashion overhaul that wouldn’t overwhelm her small stature. She opted for this street style-approved bomber with micro-bloom embroidery and a dark, botanical printed dress that successfully shifts fall florals from cutesy to cool territory. Stick with petite prints and subtle florals when you’re tiny, like Alonna. And we’ve gotta say, we absolutely love how the two pieces look together!
Get the look: On the Road Bradley Floral-Print Dress in Black ($69), Max Studio Floral Embroidered Bomber Jacket in Black ($119), J Slides Metallic Trim Stretch Sneaker ($69), McQ Alexander McQueen Graphic-Print Arm Cat-Eye Sunglasses ($99)
And there you have it! The trifecta of cool-girl trends that work for these B+C staffers fall occasions *and* body types. The verdict is in — Neiman Marcus Last Call is absolute #goals for the latest and greatest in fall fashion! Don’t you agree?
