Madonna’s Daughter Is Being Bullied Online for This Ridiculous Reason
In the last few years, more and more women have become comfortable with their body hair. With some looking for the best home removal kits, others simply let their body hair grow. Body hair is tied into the body positivity movement, giving women the freedom to shave or not. When we see celebrities rocking hairy armpits or legs, it gets people talking, and of course, Madonna has famously sported hairy armpits off and on throughout her career. Now, her daughter (and model) Lourdes is also rocking the look and getting some major flack from people online.
While lounging on the beach in Miami this week, paps snapped a pic of Madonna’s eldest, and one shot in particular has had people talking. Just Jared posted the snaps to Instagram, and, well, people have feelings on the subject.
While some fans defended Lourdes decision to have armpit hair, there were many comments calling it “nasty” or “gross.” Some of the comments are downright disheartening, like, “Always we say that feminists are ugly dirty fat women. This post proof [sic] that thing. All who defend on hairy disgusting armpit are feminists.” Who knew a little body hair could make someone so angry?
For her part, Lourdes hasn’t addressed it (nor should she bother), but it’s actually pretty great to see more and more women rocking armpit hair.
