This NFL Player’s Wedding Cake Will Make Harry Potter Fans Swoon
Pulling off a themed wedding is a tricky task. But if there is one worth committing to, a book wedding theme — or specifically going all Harry Potter might be the most likely to impress everyone in attendance. Don’t believe us? Take a look at NFL player Mike Evans’ amazing wedding cake.
The Wide Receiver for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers wed Ashli Evans earlier this month in what appeared to be a pretty traditional ceremony decor-wise. However, the couple decided to get super creative in the food department. Guests didn’t sit down for a fancy steak dinner. Instead, waiters walked around passing out Honey Butter Chicken Biscuits from Whataburger and Taquitos.
And the cake? Well, that was a serious ode to Mike’s Harry Potter obsession. The five-tiered cake featured all the Hogwarts houses and even an owl in a cage. Wedding guest attendee Jerron Reese posted this photo of the cake alongside the caption, “You know I respect ya, @MikeEvans13_, but you just skyrocketed to the top with this groom’s cake. Congrats, bro!” Ditto, Jerron. Ditto.
