Burger King’s New “Whopperrito” Is the Snack Mashup of Your Fast Food Nightmares
Did you wake up today and realize, to your horror, that you’ve been eating JUST TOO DARN WELL lately? All those lettuce-free salads and summer spiralized veg creations getting you down with all those (*gasp*) nutrients???!?! Well never fear, because the chain that brought you Mac n’ Cheetos has definitely got your back with the new mutant snack of your fast food nightmares. Introducing: Burger King’s Whopperrito.
As you’ve probably guessed, this monster munch is the deranged lovechild of a Whopper and a burrito and, TBH, it looks big enough to bite you back. But it’s actually not so different from the Whopper you know and love — just swap out a bun for a flour tortilla and replace mayo with queso sauce, and you’ve got the idea. And yet, somehow, the execution just seems so… wrong. Like, too wrong to not try.
Mashablereports that the Whopperrito will be arriving at Burger King locations nationwide on Monday, August 15 and will stick around while supplies last. The price tag is pegged at $2.99 or $4.99 as part of a combo meal — a totally reasonable price for fast food fever dream, if you ask us. Later, salad!
Will you be trying the Whopperrito, or have you already run away from your screen, screaming? Let us know @BritandCo!
