Schitt’s Creek alum Dan Levy is returning to the small screen with welcomed arms. The actor has had quite the productive past handful of years following his success on Schitt’s Creek, starring in several films such as Happiest Season, Good Grief, Unfrosted, and Haunted Mansion.
While it’s been fun to see him on the big screen, the actor truly shines when he gets a creative hand behind the scenes, especially when it comes to the script. Such was the case with the heavily adored Schitt’s Creek, and will proceed with the series Big Mistakes, in which Levy co-creates and stars. Here's what we know about it so far!

What is 'Big Mistakes' about?
The upcoming TV series is about a pair of siblings who are forced to get involved in a series of crimes after being blackmailed by dangerously formidable figures. But much like David and Alexis Rose, these two are barely capable of putting their dirty laundry away, let alone dealing with organized crime. From what we’re gathering, the series will offer the perfect blend of humor and drama that’s ideal for peak television.
It seems as though Dan Levy’s area of expertise is exploring heartwarmingly chaotic sibling dynamics, which he can’t help but gush about when it comes to his upcoming series. "I love writing dysfunctional family comedy," the actor revealed in an interview on Watch What Happens Live! "I think it's the funniest little pool to pull from. So the challenge was finding a dynamic that was dysfunctional but not the same as Schitt's Creek. Different book, same shelf, let's just put it that way."Who's in the 'Big Mistakes' cast?

Unfortunately, there is no official release date yet for Dan Levy’s new series, since it is still in its production phase. With that being said, we'd guess that it's likely to come out in 2026.

It seemed as though Schitt’s Creek was our beacon of light as a nation during the height of the global pandemic in 2020, providing heartfelt moments and laughter during an extremely difficult period. Although many may dismiss the series as just another funny TV show, I think a handful of us can admit how much light Schitt’s Creek provided throughout an extremely dark time in history. I have a good feeling that Big Mistakes will do just that as well, and then some.
