This Is Emilia Clarke’s One Dating Rule
Despite claims that it’s actually dead among millennials, dating is an ever-evolving requirement of romantic life. It can be quite a feat keeping up with all latest dating apps and dating slang, and things just got even tougher for Game of Thrones’ Emilia Clarke, who has a brand new (and rather frustrating) rule when it comes to the men she’s willing to date.
In an interview with Elle, Clarke explained herself with just three letters: “NMA.” If you’re stumped, that’s probably because it’s a bit specific with regard to her current situation. As the actress told the outlet, the acronym actually stands for “No More Actors.”
However, keeping to this “NMA” rule isn’t exactly easy for someone in the 30-year-old’s position. “It’s almost the only bloody choice,” she explained, adding, “[actors are] practically the only people I know!”
Clarke’s last public romance was with Family Guy creator and (yep) actor Seth MacFarlane back in 2012, and the long-distance affair only lasted for about six months. Though she says that she has been seeing various people behind-the-scenes since (sneaky, sneaky!), who we can only assume to be actors, none of them have stuck —an unfortunate turn of events, since, according to HelloGiggles, while the actress isn’t quite sure about marriage, she definitely wants to have kids.
Still, the Game of Thrones vet has plenty of time, and we bet there’s a whole SLEW of young, non-famous men that would be all too happy to have the Mother of Dragons on their arm. Go get ’em, Emilia!
