Glitter Hair: The AMAs Red Carpet Trend That’s Literally the Perfect Holiday Hair Inspo
The red carpet’s love of sequins knows no end. In fact, the obsession has now gone beyond apparel and accessories. Last year we saw glitter roots take over during the holiday season and even on Miley Cyrus at last year’s Met Gala . Taking a cue from Miley, celebs are getting creative this year by finding innovative ways to incorporate some extra sparkle into those red carpet epic hairdos. Case in point: the looks Vampire Diaries’ Nina Dobrev and actress-singer Bella Throne just sported at the AMAs.
Take a close look at Bella’s dual toned ‘do. Those aren’t gray hairs sparkling in those camera flashes. That’s a gentle sprinkle of glitter. Instead of the crazy bold statement look we saw over Pinterest last year , this is something that could totally fly at the company’s holiday party but still make that office crush of yours do a double take.

If you want to keep your glitter accent a little more concentrated, copy Nina’s look by dusting a little bit of sparkle on top of small braids and securing with hairspray. OR if you want to skip the actual glitter, grab some metallic ribbon and twist that into your braids for some added glam with extra easy clean up.
