Back in March, Honey Maid launched their “This is Wholesome” campaign with a commercial that featured “real” families. Two dad families, tattooed families, military families, multiracial families. You know, like, real families? Unsurprisingly but still sadly, they received some pretty hateful Tweets and a few hundred YouTube and Facebook comments attacking the company’s definition of wholesome.
Honey Maid wanted to respond, so asked two artists to take the negative comments and turn them into something else. We love what they made — and the idea of upcycling some ugly energy into beautiful art. Check out the video below to watch how they did it and to see what they created with all the positive comments (which there were more of btw :)
