Summer just got here, but Kendall Jenner is making us think about a style that is quintessentially fall: long sleeves. It turns out that later this year, you’ll only need one of them.
At the Fragrance Foundation Awards, the newly inked supermodel wore a red hot Halston Heritage dress with a bit of a Jekyll/Hyde vibe going on. On one side, the frock featured a sporty halter neckline and a thigh-baring cutout, while the other featured one long sleeve and a hem length that swept the floor. It’s the chicest asymmetry has looked in a long time.
Considering we’re at the height of the barely-there red carpet trend, it makes sense that Kendall would forgo traditional coverage for something slightly more scandalous (and although we are centering on her top half here, we still need to shout out that curvy leg cutout — after all, it is what allows us to gawk at those strappy Louboutins). Besides being a really of-the-moment way to show off some skin, this half-open style seems like the perfect transitional piece from summer to fall. Slinky but covered up at the same time, it’s the sartorial oxymoron we can’t wait to try.
Would you take your love of asymmetrical style here? Tell us which of Kendall’s looks you’ll be copying this summer + beyond in the comments below.
