Miley Cyrus Pranked Her Fans With a Picture of Barack Obama
Miley Cyrus may have changed up her image (no more posing on wrecking balls), but that doesn’t mean she’s totally left behind her wacky ways. She’s still willing to disguise herself to busk on a subway platform, and she also just proved she hasn’t lost her love of pranks. And this time around, she used Barack Obama to play a little joke on her fans.
Granted, it’s not unusual for the singer to post pics of herself with other famous folks — for example, Ariana Grande, Katy Perry, Jimmy Fallon, Liam Hemsworth, old-school Hanson, and even… Elvis? — but Cyrus’ fans surely did a double take (and double tap) when she popped up a photo of herself apparently grabbing a coffee with the former president.
Both look rather casual, with Cyrus wearing a black triangle bikini halter, black sweats, sunnies, and a top-knot while carefully gripping her wallet, keys, and treats. The 24-year-old captioned the shot with, “I never post pap photos but uh …… @barackobama” and fans were quick to leave comments like “My two fav ppl together” and “👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻.”
However, if you happen to take a look at the white strip of wall behind Obama, you’ll notice “@aligutyedits” (an Instagram account that creates “Miley Cyrus art”), which proves this is a Photoshopped pic.

However, the fact that the pic was fake didn’t stop Cyrus’ fans from liking it and commenting on it: “Fake photo but here for it.” Fair enough.
