The scene features Alex and Poppy driving together and it totally highlights just how different their personalities are. While Poppy is most-concerned with eating her burrito (and all its delicious toppings), Alex just wants to keep his car clean...you can guess how that turns out.

Why the Barcelona Change Actually Works for the Film
Any PWMOV fan knows that the book is set in Palm Springs, but it turns out that the movie changed the location to Barcelona instead. “There are a couple of differences between the book and the movie that I’m really excited for the readers to see,” Emily Henry told Netflix. “We’ve moved a lot of the book from Palm Springs to Barcelona, so there’s some fun new set dressing that they haven’t already experienced. But more than that, I think it’s these added scenes that were used to do, like a truncated version of stuff that happens in the book.”
Overall, changing the location adds a European romanticism to the story that makes Alex and Poppy's adventures feel even more whimsical than they originally were. And the sets are just stunning.

Yes, People We Meet on Vacation is becoming a movie — and it's coming on January 9! Tom Blyth explained that the winter release was just the perfect way to get people in a summer mindset.
"It's coming out in January and the idea behind that is Netflix is like, 'At the height of January when people have got the post-Christmas blues, like, you know, what's better than a real heartwarming romance?" he exclusively told Brit + Co. "The book is so romantic and lovely and heartfelt, and it's a great script and I just did my job as an actor and tried to bring Alex to life. But it's a friends to lovers story, that one, so we can all relate to a long, drawn-out romance that's complicated and then eventually comes to fruition, so, yeah, it's just a feel good film."
