Target Announces a Fig + Yarrow Collab As It Gets Deeper into Natural Skincare
Target is always looking for new ways to bring us the products we need and ultimately will love. Their affordable Marimekko collection totally nailed our needs for the summer, and their revamped Cartwheel app made it even easier to nab deals on our fave items. And of course, amazing collaborations like their stationery and office supplies designed in partnership with Sugar Paper made us actually want to head into the office. Now the nationwide retailer has gone natural with a new skincare collaboration with fresh product purveyors Fig + Yarrow, and we have all of the derma-based deets.
The F+Y founder and maker herself, Brandy Monique, has designed five products specifically for Target. Coming this July, you’ll be able to grab yourself the Fig + Yarrow Clay Mask, Facial Serum, Complexion Water and a couple of more yet-to-be-announced items.
Based in Denver, Colorado, Fig + Yarrow was created when Brandy “sat down to meditate and asked [herself] the question, ‘What can I do that’s really going to have a positive impact, where I can combine everything that I love?’” The answer was a skincare line of hand-crafted organic health and vanity products.
Brandy took the same approach while creating the items that will be specifically available in Target. Her favorite? “I love the Palmerosa Charcoal Cleanser, which I developed just for Target. It’s the first foaming facial cleaner that we created, and it’s sulfate-free! Palmerosa oil is hugely antibacterial and anti-viral, and if you have something like acne and want to reduce blemishes, palmerosa will go after those microbes and eliminate them. It’s a natural complement to the other ingredients, like the charcoal, but when you combine the two, it accentuates the product’s ability to minimize the factors that are involved in skin issues.”
