Little Printer is a new technology that will actually wirelessly print out news happening around you on the web, without you ever having to get online. It’s like a very tiny, well-designed newspaper telling you things like where your friends have just checked in on FourSquare, what things are on your Google Tasks list, what the top headlines are in The Guardian, etc. You can even add things like crossword puzzles to make it more newspaper-esque.
Designed by a team called BERG in London, this cute little package can sit on your coffee table or bedside, giving you a print-out as soon as you wake up in the morning. My one concern is the green factor. I’m not convinced people will keep the paper as soon as the novelty factor wears off. But, I’m sure there are creative ways around this. For example, perhaps you could bind all of the print-outs into a big book so that it functions like a scrapbook of things that have happened each day on the web.
It’s unclear how much it will cost, but the company does plan to release it in 2012. You can sign up here to be notified when there’s more information.
