This New App Gives You the Celebrity Instagram Experience
Like many celebrities, Taylor Swift has an impressive 67.2 million followers, but she’s following only a tiny sliver of people in return (83 to be exact). If you’re one of those lucky 83, we’re guessing that your photos are amazing, you’re BFFs with Tay or you’re a serious kitty lover with the cat accessories to prove it. Whatever the case, we’re interested in seeing your posts, and now there’s an app that lets users do just that. The recently launched Being app, available on the App Store, lets users experience Instagram as other people by showing their newsfeeds. So whether you want to pretend you’re a celebrity — or one of your friends — this app is sure to keep you entertained for hours.
Of course, this doesn’t mean you have access to celebrity logins, and you also can’t view private accounts. But it’s definitely a good way to add some life to your newsfeed and transport yourself to a fantasy world. It’s also an easy way to stay ahead of celebrity trends by keeping track of the products and people they’re following (for instance, if you want to discover more of Taylor’s favorite recipes *cough cough chocolate chip cookies*).
The app just launched, but the initial reviews are strong. One user on the App Store even wrote, “Wow, I’ll never see social media the same again… I’m discovering so many cool feeds by ‘being’ some of my favorite Instagrammers.”
Sure, the whole thing may sound a little intrusive, but just think of the interesting tidbits you’ll learn about your friends and favorite celebs. (Just resist the urge to follow your ex’s feed.)
