Two-step verification is a double-edged sword. Yes, it keeps your log-in information more secure and maybe your password from getting leaked, but it鈥檚 also super annoying when you want to quickly log in to your accounts. But Google聽just rolled out a new technique that will make two-step verification so much less annoying while still keeping your information secure.聽Google is changing the verification from entering a texted code to a simple swipe on your phone. Now when you鈥檙e trying to log in and need to verify your status, a notification will pop up on your phone. All you have to do is press 鈥淵es鈥 and Google will log you in.

To access the new feature, you will need to have the Google search app downloaded on your phone. Then it鈥檚 necessary to activate the service. Go to 鈥My Account鈥 on Google. Go to 鈥淪ign-in & Security鈥 then hit 鈥淪igning in to Google.鈥

From there, go to 鈥2-Step Verification鈥 and scroll down to 鈥淪et up an alternative second step.鈥 Just hit 鈥淕oogle Prompt,鈥 then add your phone鈥檚 information, and that鈥檚 that.聽Now you鈥檙e just a swipe away from easy Internet security. Just imagine everything you can do instead of waiting around for a verification code. You鈥檙e welcome.
