IKEA’s Latest Mini-Collection Is an Actual Dream
Between its designer collaborations and ultra-affordable regular collection, IKEA is our go-to destination when we’re looking for decor makeovers. And now the affordable homewares company has embraced the fashion world by partnering regularly with designers to create show-stopping limited-edition mini collections. For the summer, the Scandinavian powerhouse has partnered with designer Walter Van Beirendonck to create a surrealist dream-inspired collection called GLÖDANDE. And, yes, it is an actual dream.
The vibrant pieces, which include pre-cut fabrics for DIY jobs, stationery, shopping bags, rugs, porcelains and bed linens is, according to Van Beirendonck a story based on his characters the Wondermooi — five cloud-dwelling creatures who each have their own personalities, distinct looks and styles, and who work together to help create happiness and joy on Earth from their home in the sky.
This collection is only available for a short time, so if you’re really into these surreal and vibrant creatures, you’d better act fast.
