After a tough few months for country crooner Jason Aldean, the 40-year-old has reason to smile again: He and wife Brittany Kerr Aldean have officially welcomed their first child together!

The “They Don’t Know” singer was, of course, performing at the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Vegas back in October when a gunman opened fire on the unsuspecting crown, killing 59 concertgoers and injuring more than 527. The singer cancelled a handful of concerts and made an emotional return to Vegas to visit victims with his wife in the wake of the shooting, but now, the couple is focusing their attention on much happier news as their little one has arrived just in time for the holidays.

The baby boy was born at 1:29PM in Nashville, weighing in at 9lbs 5oz, and his proud parents gave their sweet little babe a name fit for a country Royal: Memphis Aldean Williams. Awww!

His beaming mama took to Instagram to share a sweet photo of herself holding her bundle of joy and wrote, “There are truly no words for the love we feel. Thanks for the amazing support @jasonaldean and enduring all the hand-squeezing and nail digging… HANDS DOWN THE HAPPIEST DAY OF MY LIFE!!!”

Meanwhile, the new papa, who is already a father to two daughters from a previous marriage, 10-year-old Kendyl and 14-year-old Keeley, shared the same snap as his wife on his own account and gushed, “So blessed today to see my little man come into the world. In a year that has been a roller coaster ride, this is what its all about. I cant wait to see what life has in store for this kid.”

The artist opened up about potential monikers for his mini me to Entertainment Tonight back in June, teasing, “It will be something unique and different. Nothing crazy like a direction — East, West, North, South — none of that stuff. It will be something really cool… something that’s kind of unique is kind of our main goal.” We’d say it’s mission accomplished!

Congrats, you two!
