This Is the Easiest Way to Add Leatherworking to Your Skill Set
Hang on to your tool belts, everyone, because we’ve got some exciting news about our newest online class.
Natalie Davis of Canoe Goods is teaching our newest online class on Leatherworking! Get your foot in the door by pre-registering for the class now, and take the first step toward making your own belts, wallets, purses and more.
This class is perfect for anyone looking to pick up a new skill, and there’s no experience required. Plus, since we’ll be hand-sewing, you won’t even need a sewing machine. Or, if you’re already handy with a needle and thread, this class is a great new way to apply your sewing skills.
All it takes is an hour for Natalie to guide you through the creation of a beautiful hand-tooled catch-all tray (a lot like this one), to keep or give as a high-end holiday gift. However you decide to use it is entirely up to you, but we think it makes the perfect nest for your nightstand or cradle for candy at the office!
With Natalie’s instruction, you’ll learn all about the basics of tooling and finishing leather, and get pretty good at hand-sewing techniques. That’ll come in handy next time you lose a button! Beyond that, you’ll get to play with a stylus and an Xacto knife (safely and responsibly of course, Mom), and finally, personalize it (always the best part) by designing and making a custom impression in the leather, like you see above.
Well? Ready to do some leatherworking? Sign up today and you’ll enjoy 15% off when the class goes live. Just give us a few details in the form linked below, then sit back, relax and we’ll send you an email with a code when the class becomes available in the Brit + Co Shop. What will we pull out of our bag of tricks next? ;)
Early registration for this class closed at 3pm PST on November 4, 2015.
