Pinterest’s New Upgrade Is Going to Save You Money
When you think Pinterest, you usually think major wedding inspo, holiday party food ideas (like these tasty three-ingredient apps) and generally a good place to share and see all the beautiful things people are making and wearing. Question is, when you think Pinterest, do you think shopping? You should. The social media platform made some big moves into the e-commerce world in 2015 when they introduced us to Buyable Pins. And now that have something even more major up their sleeve.
Earlier this week, the image-based social media platform announced on their blog that they’re going to be sending email notifications to users when something that the user pinned has gone on sale. OMG, what? Pinterest wants to tell me when I can save money? YES, PLEASE.
Imagine all the ways you could use this feature. For one, you could easily pin your entire holiday gift shopping list to a single board and have Pinterest notify you when any of the prices drop. Another is that you could create a Christmas wish list of all the things you want but can’t afford yet, then attack once they go on sale.
Now that’s holiday shopping made easy.
